Make Up Your Mind

It seems as if Gatsby is trying to hard to lure Daisy in. He invites her to all of his parties yet she doesn't show any interest in them. To make things worse for Gatsby he soons realizes that Daisy had a child, whom she shows no interest in. Daisy looks like she doesn't know who she wants. Daisy and Gatsby were almost meant for each other. She seems to enjoy the luxury life that Gatsby can provide compared to the personality of Tom. Will Daisy learn that she needs to carry on and ditch Gatsby? She has a child and seems to do just fine with Tom.Will Gatsby be able to persuade Daisy with his money or will Daisy realize that she needs to move in without him and take care of her daughter. If Daisy does end up staying with Gatsby will he be the reliable husband that she has been striving for?, or will he be to selfish about himself and abandon Daisy?

Transformation!

The main theme of chapter 6 was transformation. In this chapter Gatsby's early life and how he became motivated to become rich and gain a higher social status. Gatsby was motivated by a man named Dan Cody who showed Gatsby what it was like to be wealthy and have a high social status. Dan Cody helped James Gatz transform into Jay Gatsby. Gatsby had undergo a transformation in the early stages of his life that made him want to be wealthy and of a high social status. The transformation in his early years made him who he was in the novel.
"And it was from Cody that Gatsby inherited money" (99) This shows how Dan Cody helped Gatsby achieve his goal of having a high social life, and wealth.

Gatsby's Party

The main theme in this chapter was the corruptness and how dumb the wealthy people were. I found this chapter one of the most important because it shows how stuck up these people are. Many of the characters did not even know Gatsby was or what he did but still attended his parties and criticized his home. Some of the people at the party were talking about Gatsby's past saying that he killed a man in cold blood. They were even surprised that he had real books in library, which showed that most of the people in this novel are corrupt. They gossiped about home constantly and made up false rumors. Seems like most of these people care more about their social life and tend not to care about the small things in life. "Owl eyes washing his hands with the whole matter" This quote shows that many of the of the rich people are very stuck up.
